Cost to camp depends on the campground and ranges from:
Unserviced – $45 – $55
Full Service – $55 – $65
Amenities
You can choose from unserviced sites to fully serviced sites that come with electicity, water and sewer. All campgrounds have comfort stations with showers as well as plenty of vault toilets.
Activities
While each campground is different, you will find hiking and biking trails, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, birding, and so much more. You will definitely NOT be bored while camping in these conservation areas! Most campgrounds even have rentals for kayaks, fishing gear, and lifejackets.

Ontario is where we call home, and we love exploring our corner of Canada! Being able to drive for over 8 hours from Toronto and still not reach the border gives you an indication of just how massive this province really is.
With over 300 conservation areas in Ontario (offering a total of 8,400 campsites), there’s really no excuse not to get out and enjoy the best of what Ontario has to offer.
What keeps us coming back are the wide-open spaces and the ability to enjoy nature, while still offering amenities like swimming pools, tubing, disc golf, or a games room. The conservation areas are usually able to offer more than what the provincial parks can provide.
The variety of landscapes is another reason we love it here. From lush forests to sandy beaches, gorgeous lakes, and quaint little towns—you really can’t beat the variety.
